CoStar: U.S. Hotels Show Overall Lower Performance

WASHINGTON—U.S. hotel performance declined from the previous week and showed lower comparisons year over year, according to CoStar’s latest data through August 5, 2023.

Occupancy: 68.9 percent (down 1.0 percent)
ADR: $158.10 (up 2.2 percent)
RevPAR: $108.97 (up 1.2 percent)

Among the Top 25 Markets, Boston saw the largest year-over-year increases in occupancy (up 12.4 percent to 84.3 percent) and RevPAR (up 25.4 percent to $201.02), helped by the FAN EXPO Boston.

New York City posted the highest lift in ADR (up 11.6 percent to $268.31) and the second-highest occupancy (up 10.4 percent to 86.6 percent) and RevPAR gains (up 23.3 percent to $232.41).

St. Louis saw the steepest RevPAR decline (down 18.3 percent to $83.64).
