CoStar: U.S. Hotel Performance Declines From Previous Week

WASHINGTON—U.S. hotel performance declined slightly from the previous week but showed improved comparisons year over year, according to CoStar’s latest data through July 29, 2023.

Percentage change from comparable week in 2022:
Occupancy: 72.2 percent (up 0.6 percent)
ADR: $161.83 (up 2.3 percent)
RevPAR: $116.91 (up 2.9 percent)

Among the Top 25 Markets, St. Louis saw the largest year-over-year increases in occupancy (up 17.4 percent to 73.6 percent) and RevPAR (up 43.6 percent to $105.50).

Nashville reported the largest gain in ADR (up 22.4 percent to $210.31).

The steepest RevPAR declines were seen in Miami (down 14.6 percent to $121.58) and San Francisco (down 10.5 percent to $149.88).
