Virgin Hotels Collection announced the appointment of Tim Wyman as vice president of development. In this role, Wyman will identify new business, including management and investment opportunities, for Virgin Hotels Collection.

HEI Hotels & Resorts announced that Cindy Murphy has been named regional vice president of operations. Prior to joining HEI, Murphy was vice president of operations and head of the Sonesta Select brand for Sonesta Hotels.

Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel, announced the appointment of Konstantine (Gus) Drosos as general manager. In his most recent role, Drosos served as general manager of Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport, where he oversaw day-to-day operations.

Whiteface Lodge announced that Jonathan Peels has been appointed to new general manager. Most recently, Peels was the resort manager of Palm Beach Singer Island Marriott Beach Resort & Spa where he managed operations.

Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve announced the appointment of Mafalda Tavares as hotel manager. Bringing 15 years of luxury experience to the role, Tavares will handle day-to-day operations of the property.

The Canopy Chicago Central Loop and adjoined Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Central Loop complex announced the appointment of Liz Kraft to lead the team as complex general manager and chief enthusiast.

The Ritz-Carlton, Boston, announced that Jim Lyons has been promoted to executive chef. In this role, Lyons will oversee all the hotel’s food and beverage programming including menu creation and execution.

Taylor Hospitality welcomed Anthony Eads as executive chef of The Hermitage Inn and Taphouse in Petersburg, West Virginia. Eads will be responsible for overseeing the menus and staff of The Taphouse in addition to in-room dining and banquet operations.

The Westin Dallas Stonebriar Gold Resort & Spa announced Roxanne Khairzada as the new spa director for the resort’s on-site Well & Being Spa. In this position, Khairzada oversees the performance of the spa personnel and maintains financial records.

InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta announced the appointment of two industry professionals to the team, which includes Kyra Oliver as director of marketing and Joshua Jolicoeur as director of guest services.

Pacifica Hotels announced a roundup of new hires and promotions: Rob Miller has been hired as corporate director of finance at Pacifica Hotels; Alan Qaulkenbush has been hired as regional director of revenue management at Pacifica Hotels; Joe Montgomery has been hired as executive chef at Oceanpoint Ranch; Cody Asselin was promoted to general manager at La Jolla Cove Hotel; Paulyne Tran has been promoted to general manager at Jamaica Bay Inn; and Ronnie Claveran was promoted to director of food and beverage at King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort.

Colliers announced that Mark Owens has joined the firm as vice chair and national practice group leader, hospitality. Owens most recently held the title of co-head of hospitality capital markets at CBRE.

Rodger Powell has been appointed by the IHG Owners Association as the Middle East, Africa, and Asia (MEAA) representative to its global board of directors. He currently represents a range of IHG hotels across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific.

Nomadix Inc. announced Carl Jeffreys as director of partner sales, APAC. With a background in wireless technology, Jeffreys will provide expanded leadership and regional focus to bring the company’s growth and moment in APAC through strategic alignment with partners.

Delavan Lake Lawn Management, LLC announced Brandon McConnell as its corporate executive of marketing, who will oversee Lake Lawn Resort, Delavan Lake Resort, and Harbor Club at Lake Lawn Resort.

Paramount Sleep Company hired Chuck Thrift as its new director of hospitality. Thrift will oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive commercial business strategy that includes, hospitality, resort, boutique hotels, and more.
