Graduate Hotels has transformed what once was the 16-story Hotel Deca into the Graduate Seattle, the brand’s 12th hotel. After undergoing a full-scale renovation, the Graduate Seattle is now decorated to reflect its eclectic, charming surroundings.

The lobby includes two 18-foot purple plaid sofas, a fireplace, and a two-story installation of vintage amps and speakers. As the hotel is located in the University District of Seattle, purple is featured throughout the hotel as a nod to the University of Washington Huskies.

Each guestroom has custom Dungeness crab wallpaper to represent the Puget Sound and artwork that features Seattle natives, including velvet paintings of rapper Sir Mix-a-Lot. To play up the building’s 1930s art deco history, black-and-white tile floors are paired with pale pink walls.

The lobby-level café, Poindexter Coffee, serves breakfast sandwiches, salads, smoothies, juices, and more, and will be the first restaurant in Seattle to serve products from Coffee Manufactory, a specialty coffee brand created by the Bay Area’s Tartine Bakery.

The hotel also has over 5,000 square feet of meeting and event space, suitable for weddings, social gatherings, receptions, corporate meetings, and other events for up to 160 guests.

The Graduate Seattle also participates in the Why Not You Foundation, a philanthropic organization led by Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and singer Ciara. For every room night booked directly through Graduate Hotels’ website, a $3 donation is made to the Why Not You Foundation.
