On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

Charles Oswald has been named president and CEO of HP Hotels. He was formerly president and COO. He joined the company in 2012 and has more than 25 years of industry experience.

Here’s a look at other notable comings and goings that took place this week:

Michael (“Mike”) J. Deitemeyer has been appointed chief executive officer of Interstate Hotels & Resorts, effective March 23. He has also been appointed to serve on the company’s board of directors. He previously served as president of Omni for 13 years.

Gym chain Equinox has tapped Niki Leondakis to help them expand into the hotel space. The former CEO of Two Roads Hospitality will serve as the new chief executive officer of Equinox Fitness Clubs.

Dorchester Collection has promoted Helen Smith to chief customer experience officer. She joined the company as director of sales at The Dorchester in 2004.

Steve Jacobs has been named the new general manager of Ten-X Commercial. He will be responsible for expanding the offerings and services Ten-X provides to brokers, sellers, and buyers.

Motif Seattle has appointed Rhocelli Pascual its new director of marketing. She will oversee the hotel’s overall branding, advertising and public relations efforts.

Margaritaville Hollywood Beach resort has announced two culinary promotions. Andres Teran has been promoted from executive chef to director of food and beverage, while Salvador Soberanis has been promoted from sous chef to executive chef.
