Norway’s Nordic Choice Hotel Group has banned bacon at their Comfort Hotels properties, reports Norwegian news outlet The Local. The chain’s new menu offers healthy, plant-based alternatives to greasy breakfast foods. The new menu is also moving away from cereals or cheese that include palm oil in an effort to reduce the destruction of the rainforest.
So far, guests have had mixed reactions to the news, with some upset and others understanding.
