Hilton Named the Best Company To Work For in the United States

Fortune this week released its list of Best Companies to Work For in the United States for 2019 in partnership with Great Place to Work. Hilton took the top spot on the list, rising from 33rd on the list in 2018 and surpassing companies across a variety of industries. This is Hilton’s fourth year on the list.

Four other hotel companies also made the list of top 100 companies to work for in the United States: Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants was the fifth best company to work for; Marriott International came in 31st; Hyatt Hotels came in 32nd; and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts came in 89th.

“We are in a people business—a business that relies upon the talent and passion of our team to deliver incredible experiences to our guests,” said Christopher J. Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton. “We do this through our relentless focus on creating an exceptional workplace culture for all, and we are grateful for this meaningful recognition during our milestone 100th year.”

In the last two years, Hilton has launched new team member benefits like industry-leading parental leave and adoption assistance, boosted team member travel perks, invested in corporate and hotel back-of-house spaces, introduced more comfortable and performance-driven wardrobes, and doubled-down on continuing education and career development programs.

“Our number-one ranking affirms the work we are doing together to provide our team members with meaningful roles that allow them to grow their careers,” said Matthew W. Schuyler, chief human resources officer for Hilton. “We are truly honored to be recognized as the best company to work for and will preserve our unwavering commitment to providing all of our team members with a place where they can come to work, stay, and thrive.”
