CHICAGO—Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile, formerly Embassy Suites Chicago–Downtown/Lakefront took on a new name to better reflect its positioning within the desirable, upscale entertainment district. To accompany the renaming, the 455-suite hotel underwent a comprehensive renovation project encompassing guest suites and lobby experience. Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile is owned by Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. based in Bethesda, Md. and managed by Hilton Worldwide, based in McLean, Va.

Each newly redesigned guest suite offers up-tempo accents and cool color palletes that play on the hotel’s location in vibrant downtown Chicago. New fixtures through the corridors and suites and complete re-designed bathrooms with premium border lighting offer a contemporary touch. Modern furnishings including sofas, ottomans, work desks, two flat-screen televisions in each suite, refrigerators, microwaves, coffeemakers, and beds with new premium linens bring all the comforts of home.
The lobby originally designed by DeStephano and Partners and featuring a dramatic, vaulted metal and glass atrium with multi-story views of downtown Chicago, also boasts new enhancements including a BOSE sound system, dynamic active and passive light displays, fully customizable to spotlight groups, and acknowledge special events in the city and upgraded high-speed Internet access in public spaces and meeting rooms.
The hotel features 12,000 square feet of meeting space, including 16 meeting rooms and a 6,297-square-foot ballroom, as well as a business center, concierge services, a gift shop, an indoor pool, and a fitness center.
The Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile provides guests with a range of services and amenities, including laundry/valet services and family-friendly services. As with all Embassy Suites by Hilton hotels, Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile offers free made-to-order breakfast each morning, a nightly complimentary two-hour reception, and two-room suites with a separate living area, private bedroom, two flat-screen high-definition televisions, and wet bar fitted with a microwave, complimentary 24-hour fitness and business centers, mini-fridge, and a selection of gourmet coffee and teas from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
