Williamsburg Inn Reveals Multi-Phase Redesign

WILLIAMSBURG, VA – The historic Williamsburg Inn revealed redesign plans for its multi-phase renovation. Offering an all-new modern and luxury experience while staying true to its Regency style, the renovations include enhancements to the Inn’s food and beverage offerings, event space additions, exterior upgrades, and signature themed suites.

Hotel Interior and Exterior Upgrades, Guest Rooms, and Specialty Suites
Building upon the first phase of hotel enhancements revealed in March 2016, the completely upgraded redesign will feature new in-room décor, furniture, modern amenities, aesthetic details, and seated lobby check-in. The hotel will also introduce signature themed suites that will be available for reservations at the end of June, including The Queen’s, Churchill, and Rockefeller Suites. A reflection pool will be added to the entrance grounds.

Dining Enhancements
The hotel unveiled dining concepts produced in partnership with the San Francisco-based hospitality firm Puccini Group. Carefully crafted, the concepts blend historical style, original architectural elements, and museum pieces beloved by visitors. Dining venues will present a nouveau British approach to design and cuisine that showcases historic culinary traditions enriched and enlivened with contemporary features and techniques.

The Rockefeller Room, the hotel’s signature dining experience, will introduce a menu that pays homage to the evolution of American cuisine through innovative cooking and the infusion of exotic flavors. Design elements marry tradition and modernity with contemporary architectural themes.

The Social Terrace will be a natural gathering place adjacent to the main lobby, showcasing views that include a fountain, golf course, and multiple intimate seating areas. The terrace will feature an enticing menu of shareable dishes and entrees such as flatbreads, sandwiches, and salads. In addition, a selection of local beers, wine, and craft cocktails will be available at the new outdoor bar.

The Goodwin and Terrace Rooms will offer an upscale breakfast and lunch retreat that will serve cocktails and food throughout the day.

The Regency Room will feature a large private event space ideal for weddings and social events, it will also host special brunches and dinners on holidays.

The Restoration Bar will offer locals and guests a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a cocktail in the evening and is a welcoming space for a nightcap even later. It will also offer small plates made with flavorful local ingredients, local beers, and signature craft cocktails.

Event Space
A prime destination to host a variety of private group functions including weddings, corporate retreats, social events, meetings, and more, the Williamsburg Inn plans to expand the Queen’s and Social Terraces and refresh the Regency Room. The stately Queen’s Terrace will be set amidst the backdrop of Colonial Williamsburg’s award-winning golf course. The Social Terrace will offer ample flexible space to host large gatherings or intimate occasions. The Regency Room will complement the terrace event space with an indoor ballroom featuring a design inspired by the Regency style of Brighton Pavilion in England.

The Williamsburg Inn is situated near Colonial Williamsburg, which operates the world’s largest living history museum, preserving Virginia’s 18th-century capital as a fully functioning city with more than 500 restored or reconstructed buildings, historic trade shops, renowned museums of decorative arts and folk art, and more.
