Hotel developers are setting their sites on Nashville now that the Music City Center convention hall is welcoming meetings and groups. According to recent data from STR, Nashville’s pipeline had 1,963 rooms under construction. Most recently, the Omni Nashville opened its doors to the public and already had nearly 400,000 room nights booked through 2014.
And now, a Westin hotel might be heading to the area surrounding the new convention center, says this report from The Tennessean.
Terra Verde Group, an out-of-town development group has an office building in the area under contract and plans call for a 30-story luxury hotel with 400-plus rooms to take over that site. Terra Verde Group, however, would not confirm that Westin would be the brand to take over the hotel, and Starwood executives also declined to comment.
More over on the Tennessean.
