Sonesta International Hotels Corporation appointed Michelle Steffens as vice president of operations with responsibility for the managed portfolio of full-service hotels. In addition, Jim Mooney was recently hired as vice president of sales.

MGM Resorts International announced the appointment of Daniel Yang as chief customer and innovation officer. In this newly constituted role, Yang will lead and advance the company’s global consumer success strategy.

Christopher J. Collins has joined OTO Development as vice president, food and beverage, bringing operations experience in restaurants, sports, and entertainment venues to the property. Collins will oversee the company’s food and beverage portfolio.

Highgate announced Chi Hoon Bang has been appointed global sales executive, sales and luxury experiences, for the Hawaii region, where his responsibilities will be overall strategic sales leadership and initiatives for the region.

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, announced Cliff Atkinson has been named president of the resort and casino. Atkinson brings his 30 years of knowledge and experience to the position.

The Georgian announced the promotion of Bre Smith to general manager of the hotel. The new role follows the restoration and reopening of the property in April 2023, when Smith first joined the team as director of operations.

The Memphinian announced Bobbie Peppers has been named general manager. In her new role, Pepper is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations for the boutique property and helps manage the hotel’s two onsite restaurants.

Thompson Palm Springs appointed Jeffrey Miller as general manager and Kelly Teo as director of sales and marketing as the hotel opens in late 2023. Together, they bring over 45 years of experience to the property.

Hilton San Diego Bayfront announced the appointment of Shaun Robinson as general manager of the hotel. In his new role, Robinson will ensure the property continues to provide guest experience and customer service.

Ganesvoort Meatpacking NYC appointed Jorge Dionicio as the new executive chef of Saishin on its rooftop. Dionicio trained as a member of the World Sushi Skill Institute and worked at restaurants including Morimoto in Austin, Texas.

San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter and the connected San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk named Chris Stanley executive chef. In this new capacity, Stanley will oversee all food and beverage operations at the hotel’s dining outlets.

The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay hired Mariano Padilla as sommelier to spearhead the resort’s wine program. Padilla will play a role in curating a wine program for the property, giving guests access to exploring new wines.

Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa introduced Benjamin Donat as spa director of Eau Spa. Donat will bring refreshed wellness programming to the spa and continue to enhance its service, treatments, and experiences.

PPDS named Jens Wunderluch global product manager for LED displays. Based in Berlin, Wunderlich will spearhead the next phase of the company’s global growth strategy and portfolio of LED displays.
