On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

STR has named Elizabeth Randall-Winkle chief strategy officer. She is currently the managing director of London-based STR Global Limited. Randall-Winkle has a longstanding relationship with STR. Prior to being appointed managing director in 2009, she served as the company’s director of operations. In her new role, she will oversee STR’s strategic initiatives, including the launch of its Research, Development & Education Department.

Here is a look at more notable career moves that were announced this week:

Taking Elizabeth Randall-Winkle’s role, Robin Rossmann has been appointed managing director of STR Global Limited. He will begin his new role on Jan. 1, 2016. He joins STR Global from Deloitte London, where he was senior director in the International Travel, Hospitality & Leisure Advisory Group.

Victor Hotels has made two additions to its team in Miami Beach. Cheryl Lowe is the new group sales manager of Victor Hotels in Miami Beach. She brings over 10 years of experience to her role, and has worked with brands such as Starwood, Hyatt, and Hilton. Elida Arias is now serving as director of catering and events, The Villa, Casa Casuarina. She has worked at many Miami hotels, such as The Biltmore, Fontainebleau, The James Royal Palm, and more.

La Quinta Resort & Club and PGA West, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, have announced the appointment of Lynne Rolley as director of tennis, effective Dec. 15. With more than 40 years of instruction and coaching expertise, she previously served as director of tennis at Berkeley Tennis Club in Berkeley, Calif.

Corinthia Hotels has appointed Eric Pere the new general manager of its landmark hotel in Prague. He was formerly general manager of Corinthia hotels in Tripoli and St. Petersburg.

AnaTracey Hawkins has been named vice president of strategy and development for Ricter+Ratner, a New York City builder of hospitality and commercial facilities. Hawkins previously served as vice president of marketing for a major regional construction firm and was co-founder of SNY-Newtown, a business development consultancy for the AEC industry.

Red Lion Hotels Corporation has announced two members of its leadership team have been named to national boards. Bill Linehan, RLHC chief marketing officer, has been appointed to the Loyalty360 Board of Advisors. Brian Quinn, RLHC senior vice president and chief franchise officer, is serving on the American Hotel & Lodging Association 2015-2016 Board of Directors as an At-Large Representative.

Annabelle Romero has been promoted to the role of business development manager of the Southeast region for Palace Resorts. She previously served as an inside sales manager with Palace Resorts for three years.

The Langham, London has announced two major appointments. Phillip “Pip” Hanson is the new head bartender of Artesian. Previously, he held the role of beverage director at Marvel Bar in Minneapolis. Bob van den Oord has been appointed managing director of The Langham, London. He most recently worked in Hong Kong, where he was managing director and vice president of brands for Langham Hospitality Group, as well as managing director at The Langham, Hong Kong.

Stefano Baratelli has been appointed executive director of Eden Roc at Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic. He arrived at the property from another Punta Cana ldestination, Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro, where he served as general manager.
