Hotel deLuxe Debuts Portland Artisan-Inspired Cocktails

PORTLAND, Ore.—Handcrafted local flavors take an intoxicating turn this spring in Portland as the Driftwood Room at Hotel deLuxe, a Provenance Hotel, debuts a Mixed In PDX menu of artisan-inspired cocktails that highlight ingredients made in Portland by Salt & Straw, Smith Teamaker, Bee Local honey, and Jacobsen Salt.

In creating these Mixed In PDX cocktails, the Driftwood Room team was inspired by the Portland artisans that Hotel deLuxe and its sister properties in the city, Hotel Lucia and Sentinel, are proud to call partners. All three hotels offer complimentary Smith Teamaker teas in their guestrooms, are installing Bee Local hives on their roofs, stock Bee Local honey and Jacobsen Salt in their honor bars, and offer a Salt & Straw menu so guests can order pints of ice cream delivered to their rooms.

“Today’s travelers are passionate about seeking out uniquely local food and beverage experiences and, at Provenance Hotels, we’re passionate about working with the best in class companies in the cities where our hotels are located,” explains Bashar Wali, president of Provenance Hotels. “Collaborations like these—whether it’s tapping James Beard Award-winning chefs like Vitaly Paley and Jason Wilson to open restaurants at our hotels in Portland and Seattle or sourcing artfully handcrafted products to showcase in our guestrooms—allow us to bring those unforgettable, local food and beverage experiences directly to our guests and fosters a personal connection between our hotels, our guests, and the amazing artisans in our cities.”

The Mixed In PDX cocktails (see gallery below) are available through summer.
