The team at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa in Destin, Fla., didn’t let a little bit of inclement weather stop them from supporting a good cause.
The hotel was scheduled to make an attempt to break the world record for most people buried in the sand simultaneously (which was being deemed “The Big Dig”) during a July 4 bash, but the weather forecast caused the event to be canceled.
Even though the attempt was canceled, the hotel still matched all donations and profits from drink and t-shirt sales to raise $4,352 to local Emerald Coast Wounded Warriors.
