Hilton New Orleans Riverside Names New Executive Chef

ChefTurnbullNEW ORLEANS–Hilton New Orleans Riverside has announced the appointment of Ross Turnbull as executive chef of the 1,622-room hotel. Turnbull will be responsible for overseeing all food and beverage outlets, as well as banquet and catering for over 130,000 square feet of meeting and event space. In his new role, Turnbull will be making contemporary updates to all menus to ensure guests enjoy unforgettable meals while on property.

“As a classically-trained chef with many years of experience in NOLA, Ross was the ideal candidate to elevate our food and beverage experience,” said Paul Scott, general manager, Hilton New Orleans Riverside. “As we expand our culinary offerings, I know our guests will enjoy trying our menu items infused with local ingredients and flavors.”

Most recently, Turnbull served as executive chef at Sheraton New Orleans and W New Orleans. He also served as executive chef at St. Regis Princeville Resort in Hawaii, Sheraton Colonial, and Westin Waltham in Massachusetts. Holding various culinary positions in destinations like San Francisco, Monarch Beach, Phoenix, and Bal Harbour, Turnbull honed the skills that would eventually lead him to New Orleans at Westin Copely Place in Boston as executive sous chef.

“Food is comparable to fashion in terms of trend-setting and I am passionate about staying on top of new ingredients, styles and tastes to ensure our guests have a memorable meal,” shared Turnbull. “I look forward to tapping into many local purveyors to provide our guests with fresh and sustainable choices showcasing New Orleans’ melting pot of flavors.”
