Located on Lakeside Avenue in downtown Cleveland, the new Hilton Cleveland downtown hotel overlooks Lake Erie and FirstEnergy Stadium, towering 32 floors high with 600 spacious guest rooms.
Shawn McAteer, vice president, global brand management, and full service brands for Hilton Worldwide says the Hilton Cleveland is the first hotel for Hilton Worldwide’s flagship brand in Cleveland, opening as this city continues to renovate into an exciting destination.
“The opening of Hilton Cleveland Downtown signifies not only a historic occasion for the city of Cleveland, but for Hilton Hotels & Resorts,” McAteer says.
The hotel’s sleek, contemporary design embodies a new era of Hilton hotels and represents the Hilton future, with the convention-style property intersects to the 1,000,000 Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland and bordering the Global Center for Health Innovation.
Cooper Carry, architectural firm, designed the modern industrial structure with reflective glass to deter from obstructed views and allow natural light- filled rooms and common spaces. The building is silver LEED Certified building and integrates sustainable features, such as smart thermometers.
The project’s partnership is among Cuyahoga County Council, Cleveland Building and Construction Trades Council, and the City of Cleveland. Hilton Hotels & Resorts, the flagship brand of Hilton Worldwide, will operate the hotel, providing 350 full-time jobs to Cleveland.
Of the 600 guest rooms, 37 are extravagant suites, and for all wedding, banquet, meeting and conference needs, The Hilton Cleveland Downtown offers more than 50,000 square feet of flexible function space.
Active guests can enjoy an indoor pool and extensive fitness room, which are available on the sixth level, as well as 4 Hilton Fitness Guestrooms with in-room yoga and/or cardio and strength training. Those who enjoy art and culture can view exclusively commissioned artwork of Cleveland landmarks and monuments that appear in-room and throughout the hotel, including a collage comprised of 2,800 selfies submitted by Cleveland residents to create a mosaic portrayal of Cleveland’s skyline.
Music fans can enjoy a stay in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Suite, designed together with the Cleveland-based museum and an acknowledgment to Hilton’s history in music and entertainment. For business goers, the hotel is complete with business traveler necessities, such as a business center, in-room dining and Wi-Fi, and laundry valet. Additionally, there are 9 meeting rooms with the latest technology and glimpses of Cleveland’s lakefront.
The Hilton Cleveland offers multiple food and beverage spots, showcasing The Burnham, Bar 32, Eliot’s bar, and The Noshery. The Burnham will provide tasty and fresh chef-driven dishes all day, along with innovative small plate offering. Bar 32 is a rooftop bar with scenic views of the city and lake, while Eliot’s Bar is a lounge and workplace environment. Lastly, The Noshery offers snacks and quick items to go.
“With all of the energy and buzz surrounding this city, we could not think of a better place to be right now,” said Teri Agosta, general manager of The Hilton Cleveland Downtown.
