May Franchise Employment Rises from April

    Although franchise employment growth was up one-third compared to April, the numbers were still below the average 27,000 jobs that have been added each month over the last year. According to the ADP National Franchise Report, 19,400 franchise jobs were added in May, with a majority of the new employment opportunities found in restaurants, gas stations, auto repair, and business services. The ADP Small Business Report shows that private sector small business employment also experienced an increase, with 76,000 jobs added from April to May.
