Hampshire Hotels Management LLC has announced that effective April 7, 2014, Eric Danziger has been named president and chief executive officer of the privately held group. Sant Singh Chatwal will remain chairman of the company.

Danziger, who has more than 40 years of experience in the hotel business, began his career as a bellman at The Fairmont San Francisco. Following a meteoric rise in hotel operations, Danziger assumed his first executive role with Doubletree Hotels in 1984 and has since been instrumental in the growth of Wyndham International where he served as president, Starwood Hotels and Resorts as president and CEO, Carlson Hotels Worldwide as president and COO, and Wyndham Hotel Group as president and CEO.
Most recently as president and CEO of Wyndham Hotel Group, Danziger led a global development effort, greatly expanding the footprint of the company’s 14 brands into new countries. He was also directly responsible for having the vision to leverage the strength of and synergies across all of the company’s 14 brands.
Danziger’s focus at Hampshire Hotels Management will be on growing the group’s third-party management and asset management portfolios, in addition to expanding the firm’s proprietary Dream and Night lifestyle brands.
