NEW YORK—Grace Hotels, the privately owned luxury boutique hotel group, announced the official opening of the latest addition to its portfolio, Grace Cafayate, a hotel, spa, and residential villas development located in the Salta province of north west Argentina. Marking the group’s first hotel opening in Latin America, Grace Cafayate lies in Argentina’s Calchaqui Valley, famed for its backdrop of The Andes and for South American wines.
Situated on La Estancia de Cafayate, a golf, equestrian, and residential estate, the hotel comprises 52 rooms and suites within the hotel’s main building and its 20 residential villas. Each villa features two bedrooms with large en-suite bathrooms, dressing room, living room with an integrated kitchen, cellar and fireplace, plus outdoor hot tub, terrace, and grill. Villas can be occupied as one-bedroom or two-bedroom suites.
Grace Cafayate offers an array of food and beverage options. Outdoor dining is offered at the Pool Bar and Grill and Muse by Jonathan Cartwright sees modern European cuisine pay homage to Argentine culinary traditions. This is the second Muse restaurant for the group, following its success at The Vanderbilt Grace in Rhode Island.
In addition to the outdoor heated pool there is a spa with five treatment rooms and a wellness menu that calls upon local therapeutic traditions. The heated indoor pool with integrated whirlpool offers views of the mountains and the property’s gym is stocked with Life Fitness.
Guests can also enjoy the facilities of La Estancia de Cafayate, including an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Bob Cupp, two polo fields, the Clubhouse, and the Athletic Club and Spa that features an indoor counter-current heated swimming pool, a 300-square-meter gym, three tennis courts, and a squash court.
“The opening of Grace Cafayate marks an exciting moment for Grace Hotels and we are proud of our expansion into Latin America,” stated Philippe Requin, CEO of Grace Hotels. “Both local and international visitors will find in Grace Cafayate a unique and unforgettable experience.”
Grace Hotels is planning more hotels in South America.
