A new study has placed Marriott at the top for its loyalty program, reports The Wall Street Journal. The study found a 54 percent higher loyalty program payback on average from a stay at Marriott than at a Starwood property.
Marriott Rewards returned an average of 9.4 percent from every dollar spent on hotel rooms when redeemed. Other programs, such as Starwood’s SPG, Hilton HHonors, and IHG rewards, came in several points lower, ranging from 6.1 percent (Starwood) to 8.9 percent (Hilton).
