Solage Hotels Appoints Executives to New Roles

CALISTOGA, Calif.—Solage Hotels & Resorts, a California-based hotel and resort management company, has announced the promotion of six executives to key leadership roles within the company as part of its growth strategy for 2015 and beyond.

Jonathan Rosenbaum has been named chief executive officer; Richard Hill, president; Executive Chef Brandon Sharp, vice president of culinary operations; Renee Risch, vice president of sales and marketing; Nicole Winslow, vice president of human resources; and Vito Serrano, vice president of facilities. All six leaders have been with Solage Hotels & Resorts since the opening of its flagship property, Solage Calistoga, in 2007.

“Since the opening of Solage Calistoga eight years ago, this team has been essential in achieving steady, sustainable growth despite launching in a challenging economic market,” said Rosenbaum. “Our singular passion is delighting our guests with unique, memorable experiences. The brand expects to make development announcements regarding the company’s expansion to new destinations in the near future.

Rosenbaum serves as chief executive officer for Solage Hotels & Resorts. Rosenbaum has held the position of managing director and partner of Raycliff Capital. During his tenure with Raycliff, Rosenbaum served as the managing director of Crystal Energy Group, an oil and gas exploration company with producing assets across the U.S., and also as chief executive officer of SynapticMash, a technology start-up that was successfully sold to Promethean World, Plc in 2010. Prior to Raycliff, Rosenbaum held various executive and corporate development roles within a number of companies in the technology and media industries. Rosenbaum began his career in business assurance services at Ernst & Young LLP, in the firm’s technology, communication, and media practice.

Hill serves as president of Solage Hotels & Resorts and is responsible for the overall direction of the brand. As the founding general manager of the company’s flagship resort, Solage Calistoga, Hill was instrumental in the launch of the property and under his direction, Spa Solage was ranked the No.1 spa in North America by Conde Nast Traveler; Solbar received six consecutive Michelin Stars; and Solage Calistoga earned multiple Travel + Leisure Reader’s Choice awards; and earned AAA Four-Diamond Awards. Hill joined Solage Calistoga after working for Auberge Resorts in a variety of leadership positions. Prior to that, he worked for well-respected luxury resorts including Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa in Monterey, Calif.; Enchantment Resort in Sedona, Ariz.; and Green Valley Spa and Tennis Resort in St. George, Utah.

Sharp is responsible for overseeing the culinary direction for Solage Calistoga, as well as free-standing restaurants and food and beverage concepts for new developments. Sharp is the founding executive chef at Solbar, the restaurant at Solage Calistoga. Prior to Solage, Sharp was Sous Chef at the five-star Gary Danko in San Francisco and Chef de Cuisine at Restaurant August, a New Orleans culinary institution. Earlier he worked as Chef de Partie alongside Thomas Keller at Napa Valley’s French Laundry.

Risch is responsible for driving the brand messaging, communications and sales strategy for Solage Hotels & Resorts. As part of the opening team for the brand’s flagship property, Risch directed all sales and marketing efforts for the resort, Solbar restaurant and Spa Solage. Earlier, she held a leadership role for more than five years at Meadowood Napa Valley, a Relais & Chateaux resort, following a marketing, business development and public relations career in high tech.

Winslow is responsible for human resources, employee development, training, and compliance for Solage Hotels & Resorts. As part of the launch team at the brand’s flagship property, she directed all human resources administration. Winslow brings more than 20 years of human resources experience in luxury hotels and fine dining establishments and prior to joining Solage, served as human resources director at Gramercy Park Hotel in New York, where she was part of the opening team; Trump International Hotel & Tower; The Russian Tea Room; Windows on the World; and The Peninsula New York.

Serrano is responsible for all facilities, operations, and capital improvements for Solage Hotels & Resorts properties. He was part of the opening team for the brand’s flagship property and has directed facilities operations at luxury resorts throughout the west over the past 20 years. Prior to joining Solage, Serrano was involved in facilities and engineering operations at Auberge du Soleil in Napa Valley, Ventana Inn and Spa in Big Sur, and Omni Hotels in San Diego.
