On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Chicago has named Manuel Saracho as director of strategic accounts. Saracho will be responsible for directing group business in Mexico and Latin America, across all group segmentations including corporate, specialty and association markets.

Here’s a look at more notable comings and goings that took place in hospitality this week:

Antonia Hock has been appointed vice president of The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center in Chevy Chase, Md. Hock has been developing software and service businesses for companies including Microsoft, EDS, and Siemens over the past two decades and will be responsible for expanding and strengthening The Ritz-Carlton in her new role.

Vincent de Croock has been selected as director of sales, marketing, and events at Hyatt Times Square. He began his hospitality career in 2005 with the Hyatt team in a variety of roles and prior to this role, he served as director of sales and marketing at De L’Europe in Amersterdam.

Scott Studstill has been appointed director of spa at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle. Studstill will lead a team of 30 massage therapists, estheticians, nail technicians, and spa attendants and oversee the menu of services, from massages and facials to the Hotel’s summer spa program on the outdoor infinity pool terrace.

Hotel Equities has announced Natalie Munlin as the director of sales for the soon-to-be-renovated DoubleTree by Hilton DFW Arlington South in Arlington, Texas. Munlin brings over 15 years of hospitality expertise to her new role and will create and implement strategic marketing plans and achieve corporate objectives as they relate to group and leisure business.

Kristen Burnett has been appointed director of sales for catering at the Amway Grand Plaza in downtown Grand Rapids, Mich. Burnett joined AHC+Hospitality in March to help increase sales for executive events, in addition to managing the catering sales department and providing a high level of guest service to groups in the regional area. In her new role, Burnett will work with the team to visit clients, set up phone calls with prospective groups, and build relationships with businesses and social groups in the area.

New Castle Hotels & Resorts has announced that John Wilson has been promoted to general manager of the Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax. Wilson previously served as regional controller responsible for the company’s six Canadian hotels, a position he will continue to hold.

The Allegretto Vineyard Resort has appointed 30 year hospitality veteran Thomas Humphrey as is food and beverage manager. Humphrey will head the Allegretto’s wine and mixology programs as well as work in tandem with executive chef Eric Olson as they expand the in-room dining program and gourmet catering, as well as the resort’s restaurant, Cello Ristorante & Bar.

Teresa Emigh has been promoted to the newly created position of director, guest relationship management for Sonesta International Hotels Corporation. Emigh will continue to oversee the loyalty program, as well as drive new ideas and future initiatives to expand the brand’s commitment to guest delivery having previously played a key role in the development of Sonesta’s industry leading guest experience measurement program.

Jacqueline Cox has been named director of sales and marketing for The Quin in New York. Cox has more than 15 years of experience in the luxury lifestyle sector of the hospitality industry and in her new role, she will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s sales and marketing efforts as well as building business relationships in the region.
