On the Move: This Week’s Comings & Goings

Roger Miller has been appointed chief revenue and business development officer for Alliance Hospitality, where he will use his over 30 years of hospitality industry experience to bring success to the company. Miller is the current president of RA Miller Hospitality Sales and Marketing.

Here is a look at other notable hospitality comings and goings that took place this week.

First Hospitality Group, Inc. (FHG) announced that it has hired David Duncan as president. Duncan joins First Hospitality Group, Inc. with over 25 years of global operating experience managing high performing teams as a president, CFO, and managing director in both public and private organizations across the globe.

As director of acquisitions and financial analysis, Andy Warden will assess potential hotel acquisitions and evaluate new opportunities for Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG). Warden most recently served as managing director of Paramount Lodging Advisors.

Thomas Stone will direct the culinary team and create new menu options as food and beverage director for The St. Anthony Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. Stone will manage the restaurant, banquet, and catering operations for the property, and has experience in both the California and Hawaii regions.

John Santaniello will oversee daily operations for Snow King Hotel and Grand View Lodge, two Benchmark Resorts & Hotels locations in Jackson, Wy. Santaniello has nearly three decades of hospitality industry experience and recently served as managing director-hospitality for The Hermitage Club of Wilmington, Va.

Other Benchmark news includes Nicole Di Maio’s promotion to corporate director of revenue management from regional director of revenue management. Di Maio has held numerous revenue management positions with Benchmark and primarily works in the company’s New Jersey regional office.

Benchmark also named Jarrad Evans senior vice president of business development and strategy. He was previously vice president of business development and strategy, a position in which he leveraged relationships with ownership groups and equity partners nationwide to bring in nine new-build projects and to add eleven existing properties to Benchmark’s signature brands.

Polly Ann Elliott is the new regional director of sales in the east for Hotel Equities (HE). She will help support the company’s growing portfolio and grow the sales and marketing team. In addition, Kristen Vasquez will be positioned in Houston to oversee the firm’s central region.

The McBride Company welcomes two new hires to the executive team: Kristina Odell will bring a broad perspective in hospitality experience to the firm as architectural designer; and, with a background in creating brands and packaging for breweries, Colin Bright will serve as creative signage and graphic designer.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Augustine Beach Oceanfront Resort named Liz Hogan senior sales manager and Jessica Pekarik catering sales manager. Both new hires will be instrumental in opening the property this fall.

Fontainebleau Miami Beach added Kevin Bryant as executive director of sales. Bryant will lead the sales team and maximize new revenue opportunities at the 1,504-room, 22-acre oceanfront resort. After holding the position of director of sales and revenue management at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Bryant served as corporate director of revenue management at Fontainebleau’s parent company, Turnberry Associates.

In further Embassy Suites news, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Landmark San Antonio welcomes Brian Dickson as general manager.
