landscape, as well as from Southern design values, The Edwin Hotel in Chattanooga, Tenn., uses warm colors and vintage-style accents with a modern twist throughout its décor.

Designed by Gettys Group Inc., a Chicago-based group, The Edwin’s guestrooms are outfitted with customized MurMaid mattresses and an Amazon Echo Dot, while all suites provide a Crosley Record Player, for which guests are encouraged to borrow records from the hotel’s listening library. The Edwin also displays more than 75 commissioned pieces of art made by over 65 artists from the Chattanooga area, representing the diversity of the Tennessee River Valley.

The property is home to the Whitebird, a New American–style restaurant that is open for all meals. Named for Chattanooga founder John Ross’ Cherokee designation, Mysterious Little Whitebird, the restaurant’s Appalachian menu uses ingredients from local growers and sustainable farms. The Edwin also houses The Whiskey Thief, a rooftop bar that serves over 120 different types of whiskey, as well as a full-service spa and fitness center.

The Edwin Hotel is a member of Marriott’s Autograph Collection and falls under Vision Hospitality Group’s new Humanist division.
