Hilton Worldwide Announces Partnership with DIRECTV

MCLEAN, Va. and EL SEGUNDO, Calif.—A new agreement will make DIRECTV a preferred television supplier for providing in-room entertainment experiences at Hilton Worldwide properties. The partnership includes two additional strategic supplier relationships for installation, service, and free-to-guest programming with DIRECTV suppliers, Bulk TV & Internet and Sonifi.

Guests will be able to find the new offering at participating Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts, Conrad Hotels and Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hampton Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn, Homewood Suites by Hilton, and Home2 Suites by Hilton properties in the United States this year.

With this new relationship, participating Hilton Worldwide hotels will be able to receive access to DIRECTV’s programming, including more than 160 HD channels and premium sports and movie content offered at special prices; continued rollout of DIRECTV’s Residential Experience (DRE) platform, which is currently installed in more than 220 Hilton Worldwide properties nationwide and will continue to be rolled out across the country; significantly reduced per-channel costs; and more efficient technologies reducing power consumption to further support LightStay, Hilton Worldwide’s proprietary initiative improving sustainability measurement and performance at properties around the world.
