Designtex has re-introduced two extreme-performance textile collections created with textile designer Nancy Giesberger.
Armour, a new wallcovering for the Hardwear collection, and Sportswear, a collection of extreme performance woven textiles developed for indoor and outdoor stadium seating, mark a technological advancement in the manufacturing process. The result is extreme durability and a sophisticated aesthetic. In these new fabrics, the PVC coated yarns have been re-engineered to be free of phthalates (harmful chemicals typically found in the softening agents of PVC) and replaced with an FDA-approved softening agent used in the production of children’s toys. The new yarns have also been re-designed to create finer threads, which allow for greater subtleties in weave construction and color range.
