Wyndham Announces New Communications SVP

nadeenPARSIPPANY, N.J.—Wyndham Worldwide has announced the appointment of hospitality industry veteran Nadeen Ayala to the post of senior vice president, communications, to oversee and align all internal and external communications functions for the company and for its lodging business, Wyndham Hotel Group.

In this role, Ayala is responsible for setting the strategic direction, planning and implementation of global public relations, internal communications, and franchisee communications, while articulating the hospitality company’s mission to its key stakeholders, including media, consumers, franchisees, and employees.

Ayala, who joins Wyndham from Starwood Hotels & Resorts, brings with her more than 20 years of experience creating and leading global corporate, brand, reputation management, and executive communications strategies. She most recently led the company’s global crisis communications strategy and managed brand and executive communications globally for its largest brands, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts and Westin Hotels & Resorts.

She also held various public relations and corporate communications roles since starting at Starwood in 1999. She began her career as complex public relations manager at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in New York City.

In 2006, she was voted to the corporate advisory board for The Committee for Hispanic Children and Families, Inc., and she is also a member of the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Communications Committee and NYC & Company’s Hotel Public Relations Committee. Ayala will be based at Wyndham Worldwide’s headquarters in Parsippany, New Jersey.
