On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

Extended-stay economy brand My Place has named company co-founder Ryan Rivett as CEO. Rivett formerly served My Place as president and COO. He is replacing Ron Rivett, who will remain on board as My Place’s chairman.

Here’s a look at other notable comings and goings that took place this week:

Salamander Hotels & Resorts has named Douglas Camp as director of sales and marketing at Salamander Resort & Spa, which is located in Middleburg, Va. With more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Camp most recently served as the director of sales & marketing at The St. Regis Washington, D.C.

In the last ninth months, SBE has welcomed a range of new hires. Most recently, David Hammarley will join the team as chief financial officer. In this role, Hammarley will work closely with sbe Founder and CEO Sam Nazarian to oversee the finance function across the SBE platform.

The AAA Mobil Five Diamond hotel has appointed two new senior leaders to its catering sales team, Jillian Stevens as director of catering and events and Whitney Dixon as senior catering sales manager. Stevens will lead the hotel’s catering and events initiatives. With more than 16 years of experience, Stevens comes from the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Dixon will work closely with Stevens to further elevate the hotel’s catering and events offerings.

Associated Luxury Hotels International has named Jennifer Erney as vice president of sales. Based in Washington, D.C., Erney will meet with professionals in the Mid-Atlantic region to expand partnerships for ALHI’s 250+ hotels and resorts around the world. Erney comes from Fairmont Raffles Hotels International — now a part of AccorHotels — where she served as the director of global accounts.

Greystone Hotels has appointed Christian David as general manager of San Francisco’s Inn at Union Square. Having most recently served as the Inn’s front office manager, David has experience with San Francisco’s hotel industry.

Wischermann Partners has named Jan Smith as director of sales and marketing at The Westin Jackson, which is set to open in late summer of 2017. With more than 30 years of hospitality experience, Smith will oversee all aspects of sales and marketing of the newly constructed hotel and will work to boost travel and tourism in downtown Jackson.

Crescent Hotels & Resorts has hired Andréa Sorensen as vice president of sales and marketing. Based in Fairfax, Va., Sorensen will develop sales strategies, manage marketing initiatives and relationships, and conduct revenue analysis for Crescent-managed properties. Sorensen most recently served as associate director of sales for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.

Witkoff has named Scott Broder as senior vice president — head of hotel investments. In his new role, Broder will oversee both future and current hotel investments for the firm. Prior to joining Witkoff, Broder was the director of acquisitions at Sunstone Hotel Investors.

McKibbon Hospitality has named Brandon Bradford as development project manager. In this new role, Bradford will manage the development and construction of new build and renovation projects within the McKibbon Hospitality portfolio.
