ORLANDO, Fla.—Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando is open. On opening day, cheering team members, a steel drum band, stilt walkers, Universal characters, and a colorful burst of streamers inside the hotel’s stunning lobby greeted the Fajardo family from Hollywood, Fla.
The opening of Loews Sapphire Falls Resort marks a milestone for Loews Hotels, as it is the first time in the company’s history that two Loews properties have been connected. Loews Sapphire Falls Resort features 1,000 rooms and 115,000 square feet of meeting and event space. It is connected to Loews Royal Pacific Resort, to offer a combined 2,000 guest rooms and nearly 250,000 square feet of flexible meeting and function space. The meeting space at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort will debut this fall.
The brand new Caribbean-inspired hotel brings the number of Universal Orlando on-site hotel rooms to 5,200.
