Hotel Zoe San Francisco Opens Yacht-Inspired Hotel

SAN FRANCISCO–Hotel Zoe San Francisco, Fisherman’s Wharf’s newest luxury boutique hotel, announced the grand opening of the hotel after a $16 million dollar reimagination, as well as the launch of its new San Francisco-themed programming. Inspired by luxurious yachts found in Mediterranean ports and designed to take guests on an adventure of the senses, Hotel Zoe’s style is influenced by the vibrant cultures of San Francisco and other international cities.

Hotel Zoe is owned by Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, a publicly traded REIT that focused on acquiring and investing in primarily upper upscale, full-service hotels in major gateway cities. The hotel is operated by Noble House Hotels & Resorts, a privately-held hotel ownership management company headquartered in Seattle. Its grand opening marks the rebranding of its interior design, guestrooms and suites, never-before-used courtyard space, and the addition of Bar Zoe.

“The opening of Hotel Zoe will appeal to adventure travelers, by bringing an elegant and local experience to Fisherman’s Wharf,” said Nikki Carlson, general manager at Hotel Zoe San Francisco. “We are also excited to announce the launch of our new programming that will capture the true essence of Hotel Zoe and San Francisco.”

The hotel’s interior décor is designed by Paletteur, a San Francisco-based interior design firm specializing in hospitality projects and led by Principals Gino Castaño and David Lasker. Guests will experience high-quality craftsmanship throughout the hotel, featuring a crisp, clean interior and exterior accentuated with warm-wood tones, linear elements, and muted palettes. Guestrooms showcase glass framed showers, refined tiled floors, handcrafted stone bathroom vanities with polished chrome hardware, and modern artwork adorns the walls. Additionally, the redesign hand-selected finishes include touches of marble, granite, and fine wood, all subtle nods to an opulent yacht.

The newly-constructed Bar Zoe located inside the hotel’s main lobby will offer guests a selection of small bites from Pescatore Restaurant & Bar, the on-property modern Italian restaurant, as well as its signature “Z” cocktail incorporating premium liquor and fresh local ingredients. Visitors can lounge in Hotel Zoe’s artisan-crafted outdoor courtyard with spectacular fireplaces and communal seating to relax and unwind, while also enjoying the stunning 24-foot-tall metal sculpture, “Zoe,” designed by Shawn Man Roland in celebration of the hotel’s curious, spontaneous, and free-spirited muse.

The property’s most luxurious guest room, the Hotel Zoe Suite, will feature a private grand fireplace, creating a warm inviting experience on a cool and windy San Francisco evening. Guests will also receive champagne on ice, a sweet treat, a welcome amenity, and a wood log for the fireplace. To encourage guests’ inner travelers, the Hotel Zoe Wanderlust Suite will present a retro lunchbox equipped with a Polaroid camera with film, along with binoculars, a San Francisco map, immediate access to Hotel Zoe’s new fleet of bikes from San Francisco-based PUBLIC Bikes, a local arrival amenity, and snacks prepared by Pescatore’s executive chef Rafa Mayoral.

“Hotel Zoe is the newest addition to the ‘unofficial Z Collection’ in San Francisco, including Hotel Zelos, Hotel Zephyr, Hotel Zeppelin, and Hotel Zetta. The properties share a common culture geared toward creating unique local experiences for guests through the use of design, art, recycled materials, technology, and personalized service,” said Jon E. Bortz, chairman and chief executive officer of Pebblebrook Hotel Trust.
