JACKSON, Wyo.—Hotel JH, LLC announced on Sept. 25 the appointment of Greg Herzog as general manager of their new luxury property, Hotel Jackson, opening Dec. 1, 2014 in downtown Jackson, Wyoming.
Herzog brings to Hotel Jackson extensive experience in the luxury hospitality industry, with over 20 years in Las Vegas market, including the Venetian Hotel.
“We were thrilled to find a Jackson Hole resident who knows and understands the unique offerings of the valley and surrounding National Parks, in addition to superb hospitality industry experience,” said Jim Darwiche, owner of Hotel Jackson. “Greg’s work at the Venetian and several other high-end properties has allowed him to host affluent and celebrity guests who expect confidentiality and excellent guest services. We are confident he will be of great assistance in preparing for the opening of the hotel, building a stellar team, and attracting and maintaining return guests in the future.”
Herzog’s career includes management positions in hospitality, casino, food and beverage, marketing, and training arenas. Most recently, he has worked with Monarch Casino Black Hawk in Colorado on a complete remodel, quadrupling the size of the casino, adding several fine dining venues and adding a 500 suite tower and spa.
“I’m delighted to be part of the newest unique luxury hotel in Jackson, and assist the Darwiche family in achieving their vision for the property,” said Herzog. “The design of the hotel is a blend of many components of the Town of Jackson and the surrounding natural environment. I am pleased the property was built to LEED certified specifications and will strive to meet sustainable tourism practices that will enhance our guest experience.
“I look forward to building and mentoring a strong leadership team and staff who understand the importance of exceptional service and attention to detail that always exceed expectations,” said Herzog.
