Hilton Worldwide’s Digital Key Training Wins Learning Award

ORLANDO, Fla.—The Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Awards were recently announced, and the Digital Key Training won the Gold Brandon-Hall Award for Best Unique or Innovative Learning and Development.

In 2015, Hilton Worldwide rolled out a new feature that allowed their guests to use their smartphones as a “digital key” to access their rooms and other areas within the hotel. Hilton Worldwide was the first to offer this technology, at scale.

Because the technology affected so many roles within the hotel, Hilton Worldwide needed to train more than 80,000 hotel team members on the digital key and the process changes around guest service and hospitality. Digitec worked with Hilton Worldwide to design and create a highly interactive gamification learning experience.

At last report, there have been over 10,000 course completions, with learner average feedback scores of 4.33 out of a possible 5.
