The Fairmont Austin, a new 37-story luxury hotel opening in the summer 2017, has released the first look at the property’s guestroom design. Inspiration deriving from the Hill Country landscape, Fairmont Austin’s guestroom décor will feature cool shades of blue, bright white, and honey beige.
Set to open Summer 2017, the luxury hotel will feature 1,068 guestrooms and suites, including exclusive Fairmont Gold rooms and lounge, with vistas of the state capital, Lady Bird Lake, and the cityscape.
Sealy, Sterns & Foster pillows top mattresses with crisp French duvets and premium thread count linens along with blackout lined drapery and sheers to showcase or shield spectacular views of Austin’s city skyline, the State Capitol and Lady Bird Lake from floor-to-ceiling windows.
Each Fairmont guestroom will be 410 square feet, with 9 foot ceilings, and providing a luxurious bath with custom designed vanity in cerused oak with quartz tops, separate water closet, and a walk-in shower. Other bathroom amenities include a backlit mirror with personal magnifying mirror, plush bathrobes, and stylish barn door with inlaid smoked glass for privacy.
According to Warren Sheets of the hotel’s interior design firm Warren Sheets Design (WSD), “We wanted to capture the most inspiring aspects of Austin itself in the warmth of the brown and honey beige hues; in the pristine white and blue linens and carpeting, evocative of its bright expansive skies.”
Fairmont Austin is located in the heart of the lively Central Business District, and tucked alongside the greenery of Palm Park and Waller Creek, with exclusive and direct access to the Austin Convention Center.
Guestroom furniture will be modern in design combining Ebony veneers, quarter cut Asia oak, zebra and cherry wood construction and include a graceful chaise lounge, chair and sidetable. Custom designed, rich carpeting will consist of 6” bands premium cut & loop pile in tones of honey and blue.
Fairmont Austin in room amenities will include iron, ironing board, bedside device charging hub and reading lamps, Keurig coffee machine, flat-screen HDTV, and a radio and work desk with ergonomic chair. Dynamic framed artwork by renowned Texas photographer John R. Rogers will place an elegant finishing touch to the room.
