HONG KONG, China—Marriott International announced the opening of the Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong Sha Tin. The hotel marks the brand’s second in Hong Kong.
Speaking at the opening of the hotel, Simon Cooper, president and managing director of Marriott International Asia Pacific, said: “We are delighted to be opening the largest Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Asia today, an extraordinary addition to the brand’s global portfolio. The 539 guestrooms and suites feature a functional work area and high-speed internet access. At 165 square meters, the Presidential Suite on the 30th floor exudes elegance with a stylish living area and master bedroom.
The hotel’s lobby offers a casual seating zone with several electrical outlets and WiFi access; the GoBoard 4.0, which presents up-to-date local information, weather forcasts, maps, and headline news on a 55-inch LCD touch screen; and design elements such as an art sculpture, spiral staircase, and glass art piece that winds across the lobby ceiling.
Meeting space at the property can accommodate up to 430 people. The 515 square meter ballroom is divisible into three equal parts and is equipped with audio-visual equipment and wireless internet. Other hotel facilities include the open-space lobby lounge, executive lounge, business center, 24-hour gym, and outdoor swimming pool.
The hotel is wwned by the Nan Fung Group and was constructed by Bordon Construction Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Nan Fung Group.
