COLUMBIA, Mo. and MCLEAN, Va.—Hilton Worldwide and DoubleTree by Hilton have announced the opening of The Broadway Columbia – a DoubleTree by Hilton, a new LEED certified hotel located in the vibrant arts, college, and film district of Columbia’s Broadway street, following a $20 million construction project. The brand-new eight-floor, 114-room hotel debuts a modern design that incorporates custom artwork from local artists, sleek lighting, stainless steel accents, and contemporary color hues throughout the hotel’s public areas and guestrooms. The hotel is owned by David Parmley of Broadway Lodging and operated by Chesterfield Hotels.
The hotel offers a roof deck with indoor and outdoor seating and views of the city. Guests and locals can enjoy small plates, beer, wine, and cocktails at The Roof, the hotel’s rooftop bar. Patrons can unwind by two fire pits, enjoy music from the state-of-the-art sound system, or take advantage of the enhanced video wall for everything from special events to sports viewing parties. For a more formal dining experience the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, ElevenEleven, offers modern fare with high-quality local ingredients from the area’s North District Farmer’s Market, as well as local microbrews from St. Louis and surrounding areas. The lobby bar offers a casual setting to enjoy coffee from local St. Louis-based micro coffee brewery, Breve, as well as hand-crafted cocktails.
“From the décor to the food and beverage offerings, we incorporated the artistic talent and local offerings of our amazing city into every possible facet of our hotel,” said Bob McDonald, general manager of The Broadway Columbia – a DoubleTree by Hilton and VP of food and beverage operations for Chesterfield Hotels. “We are thrilled to open our doors to travelers and to our neighbors in the area, and welcome them to a truly unique experience. Columbia can be very proud of this hotel.”
With 3,216 square feet of event space, the hotel is an ideal setting for meetings and special events for up to 250 people. A ballroom and three flexible meeting rooms create options for every event type.
The hotel is a short walk from popular destinations in downtown Columbia, including the University of Missouri, Stephens College, and Columbia College, as well as shops, art and film venues, restaurants, and clubs.
