ROCKVILLE, Md.—Ascend Hotel Collection from Choice Hotels International announced the addition of five domestic hotels to the brand portfolio.
Ascend Hotel Collection is a portfolio of upscale independent hotels. In 2013 the collection nearly doubled in size, and with these latest additions, now claims 121 properties worldwide.

These latest additions are no exception,” said Michael Murphy, senior vice president of upscale brands at Choice Hotels International. “Each of these new members brings to the Collection its own local flavor coupled with an uncompromised commitment to quality service and an exceptional guest experience. These attributes are the essence of the Ascend Hotel Collection.”
The additions include: La Posada Lodge and Casitas, a 72-room boutique hotel located in the foothills of Tucson’s Santa Catalina Mountains; Parc England Boutique Hotel, a 48-room, three-diamond property located in central Louisiana; Salvatore’s Garden Place Hotel, 166-all suite hotel in Buffalo, N.Y.; Port Inn, an independent boutique hotel and the longest operating lodging facility in Portsmouth, N.H.; and Atherton Hotel, a 150-room property that is located in the downtown of State College, Pa.
