GLENVIEW, Ill.—Alliance Hospitality announced it has acquired the Wyndham Glenview Suites Chicago North hotel, located in Glenview, Ill. Rolf Tweeten, chairman of the board for Alliance Hospitality, made the announcement.
The property will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation as Alliance and an affiliate partner convert the hotel to the Delta by Marriott brand. The work will begin immediately and the property will begin operations under the new Delta flag in September.
Currently an all-suite hotel with 253-suites, the hotel also includes 7,378 square feet of meeting space, and indoor pool and a fitness center. It enjoys excellent visibility from Interstate 294 and is proximate to Aon Insurance Company, Allstate World Headquarters, CVS Caremark and Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
Once converted the Delta will feature a Starbucks café, fine dining and casual restaurants and a new exercise facility.
“The Delta by Marriott brand continues to win fans and a key part of Alliance Hospitality’s strategic growth plan is to capitalize on this,” said Tweeten. “We will actively pursue Delta opportunities; identifying properties that are suitable for conversion in targeted markets across the country.”
“The Wyndham Glenview Suites is a perfect example,” Tweeten continued. “Its prime location and strong fundamentals have been keys to its success. We will use these features to our advantage as we create the new Delta experience and introduce it to the metropolitan Chicago market.”
