Wyndham Announces SVP, Government Relations and Commercial Contracts

constablePARSIPPANY, N.J.—Wyndham Worldwide has announced the appointment of Richard E. Constable III as senior vice president, overseeing government relations and commercial contracts for the global hospitality company. Currently serving as commissioner of community affairs for the State of New Jersey, Constable comes to Wyndham Worldwide with more than 18 years of legal and government experience, including serving as deputy commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and for eight years as assistant United States attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office in Newark, N.J.

Following Superstorm Sandy, Constable was handpicked by Governor Chris Christie to lead and implement rebuilding and recovery efforts in the state, working in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to administer over $4 billion in federal disaster funds.

Constable has served as an adjunct professor at Rutgers Law School and Fordham Law School. He began his career in private practice at the law firm of Sullivan and Cromwell in New York, and served as a law clerk for The Honorable Alan Page, Minnesota Supreme Court Justice. Constable will be based at the Wyndham Worldwide global headquarters in Parsippany, N.J.
