U.S.-China Tourism Year Coming in 2016

    On Sept. 25, the United States and China announced a U.S.–China Tourism Year for 2016 to celebrate the extension of visa validity and support increased travel and tourism exports.

    Throughout the year, the U.S. Department of Commerce and the China National Tourism Administration, in collaboration with Brand USA and other partners, will host a year of events and activities to promote travel between the two countries, expand market access, and advance initiatives for quality travel experiences.

    This celebratory year creates a platform for the United States and China to continue improving systems to anticipated travel flow. Both countries intend to continue progress on visa processing, improve the border entry experience, update aviation policies, and promote natural landscapes.
