Two La Quinta Hotels Open in West Virginia

IRVING, Texas—La Quinta Holdings today announced its entry into West Virginia with the opening of La Quinta Inn & Suites franchise hotels in Elkview and Summersville, W.Va. Together the hotels, which are owned and operated by Emerald Coast Hospitality, offer nearly 200 rooms.

“We are excited to welcome these two outstanding hotels to the La Quinta family,” said Rajiv Trivedi, La Quinta’s chief development officer. “Our relationship with Emerald Coast Hospitality reflects our ability to continuously attract high quality franchise partners who recognize the value of our highly differentiated and growing brand. We look forward to greeting travelers to West Virginia with the
La Quinta ‘Here For You’ guest experience.”

The five-floor, 90-room Elkview hotel is located 15 minutes east of the state’s capital of Charleston and offers guests easy access to The Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences, the West Virginia State Museum, and the Elk River Wildlife Management Area.

The four-floor, 104-room Summersville hotel provides guests easy access to the Gauley River National Recreation area, known for its challenging whitewater rafting and Summersville Lake.

“We’re delighted to join the La Quinta family,” said Bill Abruzzino, chief executive officer of Emerald Coast Hospitality. “With a demonstrated commitment to providing superior guest experiences,
La Quinta was a natural fit for us and the company was tremendously supportive as we joined the brand. We look forward to a bright future together and fully embracing La Quinta’s culture of excellence.”

Both hotels boast spacious guestrooms and prime locations near business, leisure, and entertainment centers. Amenities include complimentary high-speed Internet and Bright Side Breakfast, executive workstations, 24-hour indoor pool, spa, and fitness centers, and both hotels participate in the La Quinta Returns guest loyalty program.
