Think Hotel Group to Revive Two Historic SoBe Hotels

MIAMI BEACH, Fla.—Think Hotel Group is undertaking a $20 million project to renovate and expand its Collins Park campus with the historic Ansonia House and Plymouth Hotel. The project was born from a partnership between Think Hotel Group, Miami architect Kobi Karp, and Moss & Associates. The two neighboring hotels will open their doors to the public in summer 2015.

The project, which includes 64,000 square feet of additional hotel rooms, restaurant, and meeting space, will build upon the properties’ Art Deco charm while still preserving their unique historical elements. Each hotel will gain an additional floor and will feature 109 rooms, a 3,000-square-foot lobby bar and lounge, an outdoor bar, meeting spaces, and more than 200 indoor and outdoor dining seats.

The Plymouth Hotel and Ansonia House will offer guests a luxury boutique hotel experience only two blocks from the beach. Amenities will include suites with rooftop Jacuzzis and Juliet balconies and a location in close proximity to all of South Beach’s hotspots.

Both of the properties came from four acquisitions on 21st Street that Think Hotel Group made earlier this year. The growing hospitality company recently opened South Beach Hotel on 21st Street at the beginning of the summer along with Orange Blossom restaurant in the spring. Think Hotel Group opened its first New York City hotel this year and is continuing to expand in Miami Beach.
