The Caledonian to Feature the UK’s first Guerlain Spa

EDINBURGH—Following a significant program of investment the soon to be re-launched The Caledonian, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Edinburgh has announced the introduction of the UK’s first Guerlain Spa, which will open to guests in winter 2012, following the unveiling of the hotel this month.

With extensive renovations currently underway, the spa will offer three treatment rooms and a team of highly trained beauty therapists.

The treatment menu has been created using Guerlain products and respects the origins of the signature massage from 1939 when the brand opened its first ‘Institut de Beaute’ in Paris.

In an announcement, Willy Blattner, general manager, The Caledonian, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel, said, “We are delighted to have Guerlain as our exclusive spa partner at The Caledonian, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel, which is due to be unveiled in mid-September. As we are in the final stages of our magnificent restoration of The Caledonian, we look forward to welcoming guests to experience every part of the Waldorf Astoria and from this winter, our elegant and luxurious Guerlain Spa.”

Alongside the treatments offered at the Guerlain Spa, guests can utilize the swimming pool or the spa’s sauna, steam room or jacuzzi. The spa will also be home to a 24 hour gym, complete with personal television equipped exercise machines.
