Starwood Partners with Greek Airline Aegean

ATHENS, Greece—Greek airline Aegean and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. today announced an exciting new partnership, bringing a selection of exclusive benefits to their award-winning loyalty programs—Miles+Bonus and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG).

SPG members can now convert their Starpoints into Aegean Miles+Bonus award miles. In addition, SPG members will be given an extra 5,000 miles for every 20,000 Starpoints converted to Aegean Miles+Bonus award miles.

“We are very pleased to announce to our members our partnership with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, that will offer new rewards through our loyalty programs, Aegean Miles+Bonus and Starwood Preferred Guest. This partnership will provide additional benefits to our shared customers and enhance the value of both programs,” said Dimitris Gerogiannis, chief executive officer of AEGEAN.

With 11 properties in Greece under The Luxury Collection, Westin, and Sheraton brands, Starwood Hotels & Resorts has the largest presence in the market for an international hotel group. AEGEAN is Starwood’s first partner airline in Greece. AEGEAN, a Star Alliance member, is the largest Greek airline, expected to expand to 149 destinations in 45 countries in 2016.
