ATLANTA—Given Atlanta’s projected growth in convention and meeting markets, the Sheraton has repositioned itself to better serve both constituencies. Enlarging the corner rooms created 43 additional suites, giving the Sheraton the largest suite to guest room ratio in downtown Atlanta. Adding additional square footage to top floors has further enhanced the Club Level rooms, which resulted in the creation of a brand new Sheraton Club located on the twelfth floor, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the city.
All 763 guest rooms were equipped with new soft goods, sleek granite desktops, handsome nightstands, Sheraton Signature Sweet Sleeper bed, laptop-sized safes, and upgraded bathrooms. The lobby was revitalized with new lounge areas featuring upscale seating; the meeting space has been refreshed and the exterior saw major updates with construction of the new outdoor meeting space; the Skyline Terrace. Sheraton’s unique venue, the Garden Courtyard, was revamped to include a safer pool deck and brand new poolside furniture. A new Wi-Fi infrastructure was put in place, introducing complimentary Wi-Fi in all guest rooms.
These enhancements support the staff, who has earned the Sheraton Atlanta a top position among downtown Atlanta hotels on multiple rating sites, including TripAdvisor. The renovated property speaks to the three pillars for which the hotel stands: Empowering the customer with great service, inspiring the customer with unique amenities, and accommodating customers with effortless meeting space.
“Georgia-Pacific has had many successful meetings, large and small, at the Sheraton Atlanta over the past several years. From the sales experience through the end of the event, we can expect consistent and friendly service from all of Sheraton Atlanta’s team members,” states the meeting and events Manager for Georgia Pacific, Susan Soll. “The food is always outstanding in banquets and the restaurants. Once our clients have a meeting there, they almost always want to return. I am confident that when I place a meeting at the Sheraton, everything will go smoothly.”
Located within close proximity of the city’s most popular attractions, including World of Coke, Georgia Aquarium, Georgia Dome, Phillips Arena, Center for Civil, and Human Rights, College Football Hall of Fame, Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site, and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Sheraton Atlanta is a dynamic location for business and convention travelers.
Sheraton Atlanta is also equipped with an on-site UPS store, high-speed internet, state-of-the-art fitness center, climate-controlled Garden Courtyard pool with retractable roof, and Starbucks coffee and Tazo tea in every guest room for the ultimate comfort.
