CUMBERLAND, Md.—Rocky Gap Casino Resort announced today that it has opened to the public after receiving approval from the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency. In addition to the new casino, the resort also unveiled renovations to its lobby, hotel rooms, restaurants, and Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. A new event and conference center is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2013.

There are now four restaurants at the resort, including Lakeside Restaurant, the updated Signatures Bar and Grill, and the new Burger and Lounge. Located in the hotel lobby, A Little Munch is also new and offers Starbucks coffee, pastries, a variety of hot and cold specialties along with a full service bar.

“We are excited to open the first destination casino resort in Maryland and the surrounding communities,” stated Scott Just, general manager at Rocky Gap. “Our team is experienced in gaming and hospitality and is looking forward to providing a great gambling experience and exceptional guest service throughout our beautiful resort.”
