RLHC Opens New Franchise in Renton, Wash.

SPOKANE, Wash.—Red Lion Hotels Corporation has opened a new franchise location in Renton, Wash., after signing an agreement with the owners in June. This is the sixth franchise agreement completed by the company in 2014. The Red Lion Hotel & Conference Center – Seattle/Renton is located at one of the busiest interchanges south of Seattle and Bellevue.

“This is a highly visible intersection on the 405 corridor, providing excellent exposure for our brand,” said Mike Castro, regional vice president of Lodging Development for Red Lion Hotels Corporation (RLHC). “We know our guests travel this region and these owners are committed to providing our guests with the same level of service they have come to expect.”

The hotel was formerly the Holiday Inn before recently becoming an independent property, the Rainier Hotel and Conference Center. The property features the Yankee Grill Restaurant, an outdoor pool and heated whirlpool, fitness center, and complimentary WiFi. With 7,000 square feet of meeting space, the hotel is known for its meetings and events.

The city of Renton is on the south shore of Lake Washington in the Puget Sound, just six miles from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The hotel provides easy proximity to key Boeing training and manufacturing facilities, destination shopping at The Landing in Renton, and one of the largest malls in the Northwest, Westfield Southcenter. Hotel guests have easy access to prominent sporting locales of the Seattle Seahawks training facility and The Starfire Soccer Complex in addition to popular attractions such as the Museum of Flight and many others in the Seattle and Tacoma areas.
