Coast Hotels Expands National Portfolio in Hawaii

SEATTLE—Today, Coast Hotels officially announced its management of Waimea Plantation Cottage, located in the popular travel destination of Kauai.

“Focusing on expanding our national portfolio is a key priority for Coast Hotels and this is an exciting time for our company,” said Doug Rigoni, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Coast Hotels. “In addition to our collection of unique boutique properties, Coast Hotels manages properties, such as Waimea Plantation Cottages, that are seeking to add worth to their business through our promise of exceptional value, commitment to delighting guests, and our signature refreshingly local approach.”

With hands-on oversight from the Coast Hotels’ executive leadership team, the brand will be responsible for all aspects of Waimea Plantation Cottages management, including the design of activities and processes for staff, facilities, operations, and marketing.

“Coast Hotels has a strong guest services reputation and brings a new level of national recognition to this off-the-beaten-path location,” said Joe Figone, director of corporate marketing for Coast Hotels. “The romantic history of Waimea Plantation Cottages offers guests a unique Hawaiian experience unlike any other. This, coupled with the Coast Hotels’ friendly and approachable brand, is sure to provide a relaxing, customizable, and memorable stay in Kauai.”

Waimea Plantation Cottages embody Hawaiian life in the 1800s, creating a quiet hotel culture against the backdrop of contemporary Hawaii. Located on the Western Coast of Kauai, close to Waimea Canyon and the Napali Coast, Waimea Plantation Cottages features a nostalgic glimpse into life on a formerly active sugar plantation with black sand oceanfront views. Nestled on a 27-acre plantation site, the 60-cottage resort has been restored with period-inspired furniture and modern appliances. Every cottage has a full kitchen and front porch. Additionally, the Managers House situated ocean-front makes an ideal venue for weddings, family reunions, and corporate events. Waimea Plantation Cottages also features amenities such as yoga and water aerobics classes, a swimming pool, BBQ rentals, an art gallery, high-speed WiFi, and more.

Coast Hotels has nine additional U.S. based properties in Alaska, California, Washington, and Oregon, with each hotel known for its unique personality, prime location, and popular amenities.
