MGM Launches Mobile Check-In for 13 Las Vegas Resorts

Las Vegas—Fueled and MGM announced that they are launching mobile check-in from the MGM Resorts mobile app. The hotel group says that mobile check-in grants guests immediate access to their rooms, making for a more hassle-free resort experience.

Developed and designed by Fueled, a mobile app design and development company, this release brings mobile check-in and mobile key to MGM Resorts. In Las Vegas—where other check-in wait times can be up to 120 minutes—the new feature gives guests the option of no wait at all. Guests can check-in and unlock their rooms with the same app without waiting in lines at the front desk, or fumbling with their luggage as they search for IDs and room keys. The mobile key is built on technology from digital lock vendors Assa Abloy and Dormakaba.

The app also serves as a guide to Las Vegas, suggesting dining and event reservations based around guests’ current bookings for a more personalized stay.

“People now reasonably expect efficient access to interactions that can be digital,” Fueled Co-Founder Rameet Chawla explains. “In some cases, that means removing the human interaction element from repetitive activities like ordering food or calling a cab. This app brings the value of those types of digital interactions to the hotel industry.”
