Lark Hotels Announces the Opening of The Coco

EDGARTOWN, Massachusetts—Lark Hotels announced the opening of The Coco this summer, a new addition to The Edgartown Collection on Martha’s Vineyard.

“We are thrilled to continue to expand The Edgartown Collection in Martha’s Vineyard with the opening of The Coco,” said Lark Hotels CEO Peter Twachtman. “Each inn within the collection pulls inspiration from a unique piece of the island’s history—ranging from its longstanding farms and beautiful gardens at The Edgartown Inn to, in the case of The Coco, the feeling of returning home after traveling the world.”

Each of The Coco’s eight rooms boasts has own design scheme appointed by Boston-based Rachel Reider Interiors. All guestrooms have the building’s original architectural details, including crown moldings, built-in shelving and drawers, and lofted ceilings. Chandeliers and materials such as velvet and suede are used throughout the hotel. Jewel tones like deep purple, emerald green, and teal complement the property’s neutral palate, and natural materials in light fixtures and wall coverings are offset by layered patterns and wallpaper designs.

Outside of the guestrooms, a staircase is the centerpiece of The Coco’s common space, where built-in bookshelves house literature for guest use. Guests at The Coco can enjoy the common areas at all Edgartown Collection hotels, which also include The Sydney, The Christopher, The Richard, and The Edgartown Inn, all spread throughout Edgartown’s town center
