IHG Opens Fourth Holiday Inn Express in Indonesia

InterContinental Hotels Group has opened Holiday Inn Express Bali Raya Kuta in Indonesia, the fourth Holiday Inn Express hotel to open in the country since the brand debuted there in November 2013. Located in the center of Kuta, the new hotel is in one of the most vibrant and famous Bali hot spots.

The 168-room Holiday Inn Express Bali Raya Kuta is close to the Balinese coastline, entertainment, and business districts and just six kilometers away from Ngurah Rai, Bali International Airport. The central business district in Denpasar is a short 10 minute drive away.

“Bali is one of Indonesia’s most popular beach destinations, hosting over 3 million tourists a year as well as attracting business travelers in transit from Denpasar and Jakarta or visiting the many conferences and events held here throughout the year. We’re opening the doors of our fourth Holiday Inn Express hotel just eight months after we first introduced the brand to Indonesia. We now have a total of nine Holiday Inn Express hotels across the South East Asia and 16 more due to open in the region over the next five years. We’ve been delighted to see guests from across the region embrace the brand with such enthusiasm,” said Clarence Tan, chief operating officer South East Asia and Resorts, IHG.

The surrounding area of Jalan Raya Kuta is rich in culture and home to some of Bali’s oldest Hindu temples. Well-known attractions such as the Beachwalk shopping mall and Legian Shopping Centre are a short drive away. Guests can also take a dip in the hotel’s pool or a walk on the famous Kuta Beach after dining at the many seafood restaurants and cafes along the coastline.

The Holiday Inn Express brand first launched in Indonesia in 2013 with Holiday Inn Express Semarang Simpang Lima, followed by Holiday Inn Express Jakarta Thamrin and Holiday Inn Express Bali Kuta Square. The country will be welcoming 11 more Holiday Inn Express hotels over the next five years.

The hotel becomes the fourth IHG hotel in Bali and will be joined by Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa located on the famous Tanjung Benoa Beach in the fourth quarter of this year.
